Prof. Charles Onyeka Nwarukweh

Professor Charles Onyeka Nwarukweh is a renowned scholar in linguistic education with a specialization in Russian language studies. A native of Oborji Ibeku Okwuato, Aboh Mbaise LGA, he obtained his academic credentials from prestigious institutions in Ukraine and Russia, culminating in a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Moscow State University (Pushkin Institute). Prof. Nwarukweh has devoted over 18 years to teaching and research at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he currently serves as the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literary Studies. He has also contributed to the development of Russian Studies at UNN and held leadership positions such as Secondary School Principal and Coordinator of Russian Studies. A prolific writer, Prof. Nwarukweh has authored numerous books in Russian and English and has published extensively in respected journals. His dedication to advancing linguistic education and applied linguistics is evident in his research contributions and academic achievements. Outside academia, he actively participates in community development through organizations such as the Agbaja Development Union and the Mbaise Development Union. In his leisure time, Prof. Nwarukweh enjoys football and music, which reflect his vibrant and multifaceted personality
